Terms and Conditions

The terms on which Daedalus Design is provided.

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

Ordering

Prices are shown on the website and in your order. A contract forms when we confirm your order by email, not when you submit it. We may decline an order — if we do, we refund anything already paid.

What you pay

Each plan has a one-off setup fee and a monthly fee, both stated before you order. Monthly fees are billed in advance. Prices include VAT where applicable. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before changing a recurring fee.

Your right to cancel

To cancel, email {email} — a clear statement is enough. We will refund within 14 days of being told, using the same payment method.

If you ask us to begin work within the 14-day period and then cancel, we may charge for what has been done up to that point, in proportion to the whole service. If the work is complete and delivered within that period at your request, the right to cancel is lost. We will tell you this before starting.

Ending a monthly plan

There is no minimum term after the first 14 days. Cancel any time and the plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. We will provide a copy of your website content on request when a plan ends.

What we will do

• Deliver the pages, revisions and service level described for your plan.
• Keep your website available, aiming for 99.9% uptime excluding planned maintenance.
• Respond to support requests within one working day.

Automated features assist with content, enquiries and marketing. They are a tool, not a guarantee of any particular commercial result — we do not promise specific search rankings, traffic levels or sales.

What we ask of you

• Give us the content and approvals we need, so work is not held up.
• Make sure anything you supply is lawful and yours to use.
• Do not use the service for anything unlawful, or to send unsolicited bulk email.

Who owns what

Once you have paid in full, you own the content and design of your website. We keep ownership of any underlying tools and templates, and grant you a licence to use them for as long as your plan runs.

Availability

We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee it will always be online or error-free. We may change or withdraw content without notice.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim connected with a plan is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Notice, and what we store on your device in our Cookie Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here at the time you use the site is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
